What your modem lights mean

A quick decoder for the blinking lights on the front.

Power light
Should be solid. Off means no power (check the plug and switch); flashing usually means it’s booting. Give it two minutes.

Internet / WAN light
Solid green or blue is good. Red or off means it can’t see the network. Restart the nbn box first, then the modem, and check the cable between them.

Wi-Fi light
Off means Wi-Fi is disabled. Most modems have a Wi-Fi button that gets pressed by accident. Press and hold it, or check the modem settings.

When in doubt, photo it
WhatsApp us a photo of the lights. It’s the fastest diagnostic there is.
