How fast is your internet, really?

Run the test, and if the numbers look wrong, send them to us with one tap. A real person at NETPAL will check your connection and chase it up with the network if it's not delivering.

• Plug in if you can. A laptop on an ethernet cable to the modem gives the truest result. No cable? Stand right next to the modem.
• Pause everything else. Streaming, game downloads and cloud backups on other devices share the same connection and drag the numbers down.
• Know your plan. Results depend on your speed tier — a 50/20 plan won't show 100Mbps, however healthy it is. Evening speeds (7–11pm) are usually a little lower.
